Griff Jenkins has been plagued with the shutterbug
for most of his life... a distraction which he put to good use last
summer by capturing his Jack Russell terrier, Elvis, romping amongst
the tulips on the banks of the Potomac River in Washington, DC.
A native of Memphis, it wasn't until Griff moved
to the Nation's capitol that folks began to take an interest in his
work. While keeping his day job in the broadcast industry, Griff has
expanded his photography skills through studies at the Corcoran School
of Art.
Although you will not yet find his name in any
photographic hall of fame or on any magazine covers, Griff is constantly
motivated in his work by those who find some simple pleasure in the
images you see here and the many more to come. Most of his photographs
are in private collections, however you might stroll through SoHo in
NYC and drop into Stephen Kalt's highly acclaimed restaurant Spartina's
and witness an Elvis sighting!
Griff Jenkins would like to thank the many people
along the way who have helped him and continue to push his lazy ass
out of bed to venture forth and capture the world's treasures on photo
paper -- and in particular, he thanks his beautiful wife, Kathleen and
their two Jack Russells, Elvis and Taxi.
